Sport Ngin Goes On Power Play with Landmark National Collegiate Hockey Conference Deal

Here at Sport Ngin, hockey is in our blood. We love it, we live it, we play it, we watch it, and most importantly, we work it…big time. Since establishing the company in 2008, we’ve parlayed our passion and excitement for the game into exciting customer sites and engagements with U.S National Team Development Program, The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award; the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships, the world’s largest pond hockey tournament; and one-fourth of all the hockey programs in North America.

It’s because of all that passion and experience that we’ve landed yet another major hockey client:  the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC), a new NCAA® Division I men’s hockey conference which will begin play this fall. This is particularly exciting for us as the conference is made up of eight schools – 
Colorado College, University of Denver, Miami University, University of Minnesota at Duluth, University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of North Dakota, St. Cloud State University, and Western Michigan University – which, since 2000, have produced four NCAA® champions, 14 NCAA Frozen Four appearances, 12 conference regular-season champions, and 12 conference tournament champions. In fact, all eight members have been participants in the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championships at least once since 2010, including five teams in 2012.

So what will we be doing for NCHC? As is the case with many of our other esteemed clients, the conference will use Sport Ngin to power its website and leverage its many features to connect with and engage stakeholders through online, mobile and social media channels. Most importantly, NCHC will use Sport Ngin to easily update player and coach profiles, team rosters, game schedules and results and other conference information, and offer high-quality, integrated experiences and engagement to fans. Since the NCHC is brand new, it’s critical that the conference have a turbo-charged online and mobile strategy to communicate with fans, get them excited about their schools, and prepare them for what should be an awesome first season.
