Kudos to the 10 brave TST Media souls and the other teams of designers and developers that worked morning, day and night (wait, add another morning...) to build amazing new sites for non-profits in need of a serious upgrade.
TST Media emerged from Sunday morning as winners of the "Overnight Website Challenge." But, while we're really proud of being given this honor, we've got to give serious props to all that were involved.
The Nerdery. Clearly, this great event doesn't even exist without these folks. As a first-time observer of the "OWC" I was perpetually impressed by the build-up and execution The Nerdery team brought. Amazing job, we're already looking forward to next year!
Bloomington United for Youth. As far as input in design and content goes, we could not have imagined a more engaged and driven-to-succeed non-profit. David Allen and Ishan Sahu left a huge footprint on the new website and their talent and passion for BUY really shined through.
The other teams. You could've nearly cut the creative energy with a knife at the "Overnight Website Challenge"! From whomever concocted the idea of an early morning banana fight with a blue gorilla (really...) to seeing how teams tackled unique online challenges - including creating websites for the deaf and blind - we were beyond impressed and inspired.
Thanks again to everyone that was involved, it is an honor and inspiration to be working with you all the great design and development community we have here in the Twin Cities. We look forward to the dance again next year.
